Are in-person estimates free?
Yes, all local in-person estimates are free. For those long-distance estimates, a fee may be charged, but that cost is always deducted from your final fencing bill. If you are unsure if your address qualifies for a free in-home estimate, please don’t hesitate to give our office a call!
What if I don’t know where my property lines are?
It’s ok! For the estimate we only need a good idea of where the property lines are. Many of our estimators are good at locating a property pin or two, to help establish lines. If pins cannot be found however, or if the plot plan is tricky, we work with many local surveyors and can refer a few. While an official survey is not needed to install a fence, it may help ease your mind that no tension will arise with a neighbor down the line.
How long will I wait until my installation?
The time of year you sign your contract will affect your wait time, for example signing a proposal during our busy months will result in a much longer wait time, than if the proposal is signed in the fall or winter months. We always do our best to install as quickly as humanly possible and sometimes it can be a lot sooner than anticipated! Stock material that is readily available and smaller sized jobs makes it easy for us to fill gaps in between some bigger projects. Your estimator will be able to give you a more detailed timeframe at the time of the estimate appointment.
When do we stop installing for the year?
We don’t! Our crews install all year long. While we don’t install during snowstorms, monsoon like conditions or when there’s a deep freeze, we will be out all other days. We add a winterizer additive to our concrete during the cold months and dig our post holes a little differently to reduce the risk of heaving.
Do I need a permit?
Every township or borough has different rules regarding permits, but generally speaking, yes you will need to apply for a permit. If you are uncomfortable with completing or submitting the necessary paperwork, our office can take care of the permit for you at a nominal fee. We recommend contacting your local township or borough office for more information and costs associated with permits.
